Google I/O Extended -experience of the magic and innovation of Google I/O remotely. Part viewing experience and part community building, I/O Extended programme included everything from live streaming the Google I/O content to local developer demos and speaker sessions.

This was Microsoft’s Code.Fun.Do, a hackathon conducted annually by Microsoft in IIT Bombay itself. It is a 24 hours event, where students along with mentors, who were Microsoft employees hacked in the SL1 and SL2 labs of the Computer Science department.
The session covere things including how to get started with freelancing, how to develop skills for freelancing, getting and managing clients,etc.
All UG Freshmen at IIT Bombay gathered for a Weekender event, where there were conducted a couple of sessions on the MIT App Inventor(a web-based innovative platform to create cool Android apps), followed by an overnight Hackathon.

Web and Coding Club, IIT Bombay in association with Kandy.io conducted “Sugar Rush”, a two-day hackathon. People were invited to showcase their ideas and win prizes worth ₹70k. Kandy.io for developers offers frameworks to easily add voice, video, rich messaging, presence or collaboration to apps. Participants were required to use Kandy’s exciting SDKs available for iOS, Android, Javascript along with a REST API to be eligible for the prizes.
A Git workshop was held on 2nd September to introduce the Freshies to the world of Open-Source Programming.
A Scratch workshop was held on 5th and 6th of August as we celebrated Scratch Day, followed by a 24hr freshie competition at game making!

This talk was based on the blog post written by Aman Goel- which was widely read. Sumith Kulal also accompanied him to pitch in a few facts about the Google Summer of Code program. The overall agenda was to get a roadmap to prepare for tech internships and jobs.
Hack U is an event conducted by Yahoo! JAPAN exclusively for students from various universities all over the world. Students get a platform to develop their innovative ideas and showcase their talent. You can check out the event page here
